On March 15, 2020, San Francisco Mayor London Breed announced that all bars would be closing. My nearest neighborhood bar is Thieves Tavern where this portrait was taken during the final shift before the lockdown. Polacon Bay Area had just wrapped and Alex was visiting for the conference from Houston. Here she reflects her feelings on the end of the weekend and trip (and was trying to make a face that a 15-second exposure could capture)
